McMahon|Siegel group offers a variety of training and development alternatives for individuals and companies.  We have two key differentiators for our programs as compared to other existing programs. First, the majority of our coursework is taught from the “CEO Perspective”.  Namely, our instructors are primarily current or former CEO’s and other “C-suite” executives who know what it is like to be responsible for all aspects of a business, who have years of practical experience to share, and bring a wealth of business wisdom and knowledge to the coursework.

Second, our signature programs emphasize practical operational skills.  This is an area often under-served by “professional trainers” and our instructors and guest speakers are compelling and excited to transfer their knowledge to the next generation.

McMahon|Siegel Group currently offers the following training programs:

The course can be offered in three distinct ways:

1. Open courses.  McMahon|Siegel Group periodically offers open courses for anyone interested in taking the course and desirous of improving their management and leadership skills.  With a target group size of around 50 participants, the course also offers an excellent opportunity to network with peers and learn from others in a supportive and energizing environment.

2. Industry specific courses.  McMahon|Siegel Group partners with industry trade groups to customize this course for the benefit of the group’s memberships.  Generally maintaining about 80% of core content, 20% is specifically customized to the needs of the group and its members.  Further, the 80% core content is also provided from the perspective of the trade group and when possible using trade group source materials.

3. Company specific courses.  McMahon|Siegel Group offers the course specifically for companies who have a significant number of internal candidates for attendance.  In this case the full course can be provided, or we can provide “short courses” of shorter duration, depending on the content and depth of instruction desired by the sponsoring company.

Emerging Leaders program:

This course is a three-part program with an in-person two-day kick-off meeting, four to six months of distance learning (webinars, projects, mentoring) and then an in-person, two-day final program.  Our program is geared to emerging line managers, group/team leaders in marketing/service line/market segment leadership, corporate team leaders and key future leaders who would benefit from additional training.

Attendees of this course will obtain a solid working knowledge of the basics of management as well as improved self-awareness and fundamental leadership skills.  The coursework emphasizes understanding and driving revenue and profit, building and leading teams, winning work and building relationships with clients, and loss prevention and risk management.

This course is differentiated from other programs in the marketplace with its emphasis on the practical aspects of managing and leading combined with traditional leadership training.  This program is offered three ways:

Executive coaching/mentoring:

It is said that it is “lonely at the top”.  As leaders from large organizations, we understand that having an experienced consultant or just a “sounding board” can be invaluable to executive leadership.  Further, some of the best ideas and learning comes from peers and peer groups, where ideas, issues and concerns can be shared in a completely confidential setting.

McMahon|Siegel Group can provide this service through multiple mechanisms:

·  Individual coaching/mentoring.  Whether driven by a formal development program, or just a desire to meet regularly and share, our industry veterans can be paired with executives to provide this valuable service.  Depending on the circumstances, as much or as little time as desired can be provided to help.

·  Team coaching/mentoring. Often a senior leadership team struggles with the three “Cs”:  cohesion, cooperation and communication.  We work with teams to build trust, get alignment on strategy, operating policies and procedures, and establish good and useful communication strategies.

·  Peer groups.  The McMahon|Siegel Group coordinates and administers peer groups for the A/E/C industry and beyond.  The typical peer group is comprised of eight to 10 CEOs or other executives from the same industry, but with membership structured to minimize conflicts between the firms.  The McMahon|Siegel Group provides coordination services for the group, and assigns an industry leader who facilitates all meetings.  The typical group meets quarterly, with individual one-on-one coaching sessions with the group facilitator an option for all group members.

Market introduction seminars:

Leaders of McMahon|Siegel group not only have a complete understanding of the US architecture, engineering and construction markets, they have experience working with foreign companies both internationally and within the US market.  Our experience is that the US market, while the best in the world and open to foreign firms, can also be intimidating to newcomers to the market.

We therefore developed a seminar is intended to provide executives and investors with a broad general knowledge of the US infrastructure market and potential expansion and/or investment opportunities specifically in the architecture, engineering and construction industries. Attendees to these one-day seminars will learn:

·  General overview of US infrastructure market, including growth forecasts and related demographic trends.  Both the public (government) and private markets will be addressed.

·  State and Regional trends and unique issues.

·  Regulatory environment and US specific requirements such as licensing, labor regulations, and immigration rules.

·  Current competitive landscape in the architecture, engineering and construction professions

·  A review of the successful attributes of US businesses including size, talent/staffing, experience, etc.

·  Acquisition concepts for market entry and an evaluation of acquisition opportunities

·  US Government programs to support investment.

This course is directed to executives and owners of architecture, engineering and construction companies interested in expanding in the US, and other individual investors and companies looking to enter the US infrastructure market.

These seminars are offered periodically in key foreign markets, and are also available to be customized to specific firms domestically or to firms outside of the US interested in the US market.  Sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals, companies, and industry trade groups desiring to present this seminar.
